	What happens when a Mexican American is reared on traditional Latino music, progressive rock and cutting edge electronica and plays guitar with the likes of John Mellencamp, Paul Simon and Patty Griffin. The side man in question is Michael Ramos, and Charanga Cakewalk is his debut effort, recording out of his studio, the Cumbia Lounge, where his music video was also filmed.

I love this album! Great musicianship with humorous takes on classics. I love every track.

Hope you like dancing ...
Most of the songs in the set will make you want to get up and dance. Some to a fast beat, others a nice slow dance. While it is not a particularly danceable number, my favorite on the CD is Mexicanos. Reminds me of The Iguanas ...
